COSY is collaborating with Walgreens on 3D semantic mapping of their retail stores to ensure that their ideal design for the placement of departments and products on shelves in the floor plan is matched in reality. This is key marketing component which is ideally suited for robotics and which has never been effectively accomplished manually.

COSY was selected in the Fall of 2012 for the NSF’s I-CORPS program, a six-week incubator for companies commercializing University research.
COSY is one of the early occupants of Pennovation Works which is being developed by UPenn to bridge the intellectual and entrepreneurial initiatives for advancing knowledge and generating economic development.
COSY is a spinout of the University of Pennsylvania’s GRASP (General Robotics Automation, Sensing and Perception) Laboratory. Founded in 1979, the GRASP Lab is a premier robotics incubator that fosters collaboration between students, research staff and faculty focusing on fundamental research in vision, perception, control systems, automation, and machine learning.
